Amar Mitra is a storywriter and novelist. He first drew readers’ attention in 1974 by publishing the short story ‘Melar Dike Ghar’ in the periodical Ekal. He’s relentless in publishing novels and short stories and some of his literary works have made into theatrical productions. He has received numerous government and institutional awards including Sahitya Akademi, Bankim, Samaresh Basu and Jugsankha for his literary works.His publications include collection of stories Math Bhange Kaalpurush (1978); novel Momenshahi Upakhyan(2019).
