Lenin, Rosa Luxemburg and the November Revolution: The Fear They Shared

I Rosa Luxemburg was murdered in January, 1919; five years later Lenin died in January, 1924, in a condition which was no less tragic, as he had become a physical and mental wreck, as was so graphically portrayed by Alexander Sokurov in his canonical film Taurus. Immediately after the historic victory of the November Revolution Rosa Luxemburg wrote a pamphlet The Russian Revolution in which she expressed her fear and anxiety about the future of the world’s first socialist revolution.
