Nation, Self and the Other: Role of Poets in Reinventing Cultural Identity in Post-Soviet Tajikistan

Tajikistan is the smallest land in Central Asia with a dilapidated economy which suffers acute social instability in her post-Soviet phase. But as a land of classical heritage, she inherited a rich legacy of culture from pre-soviet and soviet epoch. And these ethereal elements created the basis for sustaining her cultural entity that supported her journey towards independent nationhood.
